Oscar winner Viola Davis is attached to star in Amazon Studios film TROUPE ZERO, the Tracking Board has confirmed.

The Taxidermist helmers Bert & Bertie are attached to direct from a script by Beasts of the Southern Wild scribe Lucy Alibar, with Todd Black producing. Amazon Studios is also financing the project.

Plot and character details are being kept under wraps. Due to Davis' busy schedule, when the film will begin shooting is uncertain.

Viola won an Oscar for her supporting role in 2016's Fences, and won an Emmy and SAG Award for her starring role in ABC's hit How to Get Away With Murder. Davis has also become very involved behind the scenes with her production company JuVee Productions. She can be seen next in the Steve McQueen thriller Windows, she is represented by CAA.

This was first reported by Variety.
